We are sad to announce the death of Fr. Denis Hall, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Compassion, Upton Park.
He was my own parish priest for many years and so many have been devastated by the loss of this wonderful man.
We must not forget that it was Fr. Hall who allowed the Extraordinary Form to be celebrated every Sunday whilst he was in charge of St. Antony's, Forest Gate.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Chelmsford Schola Request
From our friends in Chelmsford....
Following a request from some
members of the congregation at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception,
Chelmsford, a small (very small!) group of us put together a Missa Cantata, to
sing on alternate First Fridays.
One of our members is departing for
Rome (to pursue, God willing, the next steps for Ordination), which leaves us
just a little too small to continue to sing without reinforcements.
Would you like to join us? We
rehearse at 6:30 on the relevant Friday, Mass beginning at 7:30. The congregation
is very appreciative – and it is in any case a real joy to have the chance to
continue the worship of centuries in this manner.
If you would like to know more, do please e-mail me –
