Brentwood Masses for Christmas and New Year

Please note the following important announcements:

• First Mass of Christmas (Midnight Mass) will be celebrated at St. Mary Moorfield's Church, City of London at 6.30pm on Christmas Eve. This Mass will be preceded by Carols at 6pm
• On Christmas Day, there will be Low Mass at Our Lady Immaculate, Chelmsford at 8.30am. N.B. This Mass will be in the Church and NOT in St. Phillip's Chapel
• New Years Day, there will be a Sung Mass at Our Lady Immaculate, Chelmsford, at 12pm preceded by the singing of the "Veni Creator Spiritus". N.B. There will be no evening Mass on this day

The day will deal with the fascinating background and history of chant, featuring plenty of music for use during Advent and Christmas, together with more general simple chant for the whole year. Explore the beauty and wealth of plainchant, the preservation and use of which was recommmended in the Second Vatican Council documents and more recently by Rome. The day will end with Vespers.
